Manage billing and payment methods
Review invoices and payment history, add or set a default payment method, and add credit to your account in Billing on Azion Console.
You can review the charges of your usage-based plan, manage payment methods, and add credit in Billing, from Azion Console. Billing has two tabs: Bills and Payment Methods. For what each charge and billing field means, refer to the Billing reference.
Prerequisites
- Access to Azion Console. To sign in, refer to Access Azion Console.
- An account address, set in the Address Information section of Account Settings. Billing does not add a payment method without it. To set the address, refer to Configure your account.
Review the current invoice
The Bills tab shows the Current Invoice, with the billing period and every charge on the account. The same tab shows Support, with the active support plan, the payment method, the currency, and the credit balance. Billing also names the Current Plan, such as Hobby Plan or Pro Plan. To switch plans, select Change Plan.
To review the current invoice in Azion Console:
Access Azion Console and, in the account menu, select Billing.
In Current Invoice, select Details.
Invoice details opens and explains each charge of the current invoice.
Review the payment history
Payment History sits in the Bills tab. It lists past charges with details such as the payment date, the transactions amount, the payment method, and the invoice, and you can filter them.
To review the payment history in Azion Console:
Access Azion Console and, in the account menu, select Billing.
In Payment History, filter the list down to the charges you want to inspect.
(Optional) Select Download Invoice for a charge. The download starts as soon as the PDF is ready.
The list shows only the charges that match the filter. Billing reports each payment with one of these statuses: Paid, Pending, Processing, Failed, Refunded, Void, Uncollectible, Partially Paid, Disputed, Open, or Not charged.
Add a payment method
The Payment Methods tab lists every payment method linked to the account. Azion requires at least one credit card to use the platform.
To add a credit card in Azion Console:
Access Azion Console and, in the account menu, select Billing.
In Card Holder Name, enter the name of the credit card owner.
In Card Number, enter the number of the credit card.
In Expiration Date, enter the expiration date printed on the card.
In Security code (CVC/CVV), enter the code printed on the card.
The card appears in the Payment Methods list.
Set the default payment method
Azion charges future transactions to the default payment method automatically.
To set the default payment method in Azion Console:
Access Azion Console and, in the account menu, select Billing.
In the row of the payment method, open the actions menu.
Future transactions go to that payment method.
Add credit to the account
You can also put a specific amount of credit into the account. In the Payment Methods tab of Billing, select Add Credit and enter the amount in Credit Amount. The account’s credit balance is listed under Support, next to the active support plan, the payment method, and the currency.
