# Manage teams and permissions

You can create teams, pick the permissions each team grants, and edit or delete a team in [Teams Permissions](/en/documentation/fundamentals/teams-permissions/), from Azion Console. A permission reaches only the users assigned to that team. To add those users and assign them to a team, refer to [Manage users](/en/documentation/guides/platform/account-and-billing/users-management/).

---

## Prerequisites

- Access to Azion Console as an **Account owner**, or as a user with the **Edit Users** permission. To sign in, refer to [Access Azion Console](/en/documentation/guides/platform/account-and-billing/how-to-access-azion-console/).

---

## Create a team

A team can exist before its users, or you can add users first and create the team after. The **Permissions** section is a pick list: **Available Permissions** holds what the team does not grant, and **Chosen Permissions** holds what it grants.

To create a team in Azion Console:

1. **Open Teams Permissions**

Access [Azion Console](https://console.azion.com/) and, in the account menu, select **Teams Permissions**.

2. **Select + Team**

3. **Name the team**

In the **General** section, enter a unique, descriptive **Name**.

4. **Grant a permission**

In the **Permissions** section, select a permission in **Available Permissions**, then select the arrow to move it to **Chosen Permissions**. Repeat for each permission.

5. **Activate the team**

In the **Status** section, turn on **Active** to apply the permissions to every user of the team. Turn it off to suspend them.

6. **Select Save**

To leave without keeping your changes, select **Cancel** instead.

Azion Console returns to **Teams Permissions**, which lists each team with its **Permissions** and its **Status**, such as *Active*.

> **Note**
>
> Each permission stands alone. **Edit Users** does not let a team view users, so a team that edits users also needs **View Users**.

---

## Change the permissions of a team

You can change what a team grants at any time. The change reaches every user of the team.

To change the permissions of a team in Azion Console:

1. **Open Teams Permissions**

Access [Azion Console](https://console.azion.com/) and, in the account menu, select **Teams Permissions**.

2. **Select the team**

3. **Move the permissions**

In the **Permissions** section, move each permission between **Available Permissions** and **Chosen Permissions**, as in [Create a team](#create-a-team).

4. **Select Save**

The users of the team get the new set of permissions.

---

## Delete a team

Azion Console deletes only a team with no users. Remove every user from the team first.

To delete a team in Azion Console:

1. **Open Teams Permissions**

Access [Azion Console](https://console.azion.com/) and, in the account menu, select **Teams Permissions**.

2. **Open the actions of the team**

In the row of the team, open the actions menu and select **Delete**.

3. **Confirm the deletion**

In the confirmation message, enter the word it asks for in the text box.

4. **Select Delete**

Azion Console returns to **Teams Permissions** and shows a confirmation message.
